renMenorca Fiestas 2021
COVID permitting – If you can, do try to make it to a fiesta. They are great fun for young and old and are very much local events for the locals. We have often been to the Llumecanes, Es Castell and San Lluis fiestas with the children from toddler age through to twenties. Keep to the edges of the crowds and have little ones on shoulders and you should have no issues. The local young do get stuck in to the local drinks and it can get a bit messy but all is good natured.
Our local fiesta in Es Grau is towards the end of July. If you are in the villa when this is on do ask in the supermercado for information. There are early morning parades of giant figures, competitions on the beach and a a village “night out” with a communal dinner on the football pitch and music and dancing until the early hours.
Click here for some more fiesta information including including video of what to expect. Some good advice as well.
Fiestas are normally held on the same dates or over the same weekend each year. Please take these dates as a guide. Check closer to the time locally to confirm.
