Dagrum sits on a hill-top plot approached over a gravel track. The front is shaded by palm trees and there is a purple blaze of bouganvillae growing up the side of the house. Sadly in late 2016 some of the palms were attacked by a bug and two have had to be removed. We think we have saved the other two. Fingers crossed! The pool area at the back of the house is the focus for many. It is accessed down steps from a door off the main entrance hall. The irregular shaped pool is some 8m by 5m sloping from about 1m to over 2m in depth. Surrounded by terraces on two levels with sun loungers, parasols, table and chairs there is always some shade available. For 2013 we have had the pool relined and the terrace re-laid to provide a fabulous poolside area. The built in barbecue is sadly ineffective but a more portable one can be used either here or on the upper terraces. This entire area can be secured to prevent unsupervised access by small children.
The upper terraces are either accessed up stairs from the pool area or directly from the sitting room. A covered south facing terrace with a sofa and small table and chairs and to the west an open dining terrace which benefits from the best of the views is partially shaded. A table and seating for eight makes this a great place for any meal but watching the sun go down over Monte Toro is particularly magical. Off this area and with steps leading down to the pool is another sun terrace with sun loungers and a parasol. Not being overlooked means that all is enjoyed in the utmost privacy.
